Madrid, May 20, 2026
The Association for Women in Professional Sport (AMDP) joins the ecosystem of sector partners of SPORTCITIES 2026, the leading professional platform in Southern Europe for the sports infrastructure, facilities, equipment and services sector.
This alliance will make it possible to jointly develop initiatives related to equality, protection, inclusion and safety in sports facilities, reinforcing SPORTCITIES’ commitment to the evolution of sports spaces as more accessible, safe environments adapted to new social needs.
As part of this agreement, AMDP will organize a specialized session on October 22 at 11:30 a.m. at Feria de Valladolid, within the framework of the SPORTAINMENT VENUES forum, one of SPORTCITIES’ strategic spaces dedicated to transforming stadiums, arenas and sports venues into new multifunctional hubs for experience, innovation and urban development.
Over two days, SPORTAINMENT VENUES will bring together public administrations, sports facility management professionals, architects, engineering firms, technology companies and venue operators, as well as sports clubs, promotion professionals and entertainment experience companies, among others, to analyze the main trends redefining the future of sports and entertainment infrastructure.
The program will address key areas such as:
The session promoted by AMDP will focus on the adaptation and upgrading of sports facilities from a gender perspective and the development of safe environments. Based on the conclusions of the “Entrena Segura” report, developed by the association.
The objective of this session will be to share data, conclusions and value proposals related to athletes’ perception of safety in sports facilities, highlighting the need to move towards safer, more accessible and inclusive sports spaces, especially for women and minors.

Mar Mas, president of AMDP, highlights that “for AMDP, it is vital to be part of a platform like SPORTCITIES, which brings together the entire professional ecosystem linked to sports facilities, active cities and innovation in sport. This collaboration will allow us to convey the need to audit sports facilities using the ‘Entrena Segura’ artificial intelligence tool. It is necessary to go beyond ISO standards and focus the debate on the safety of the people who use sports facilities. Creating safer, more inclusive sports spaces adapted to current legislation for all citizens.”
For its part, SPORTCITIES continues to consolidate a collaborative ecosystem that connects public administrations, sports operators, architecture, technologies, developers and leading companies to build the future of active cities and the sports infrastructures of tomorrow.
SPORTCITIES 2026 will be held on October 21 and 22 at Feria de Valladolid under the slogan “Cities in Motion”.
